We partnered with Gemfinder as their founding design team to help them bring memecoin trading to the masses. Our experience in simplifying flows brought to light a modern aesthetic that not only appeals to the eye but is also one of the easiest and most efficient ways for new users to dive into the world of memecoin trading.
Goal
Gemfinder were interested in building a dapp for the new blockchain user, a platform that someone with 0 blockchain experience would understand. This required oversimplifying the flow by not including the normal blockchain terminology and making sure there was absolutely no confusion during usability tests. Our team leveraged the UX and UI experience we gathered from previous projects to create an intuitive flow that not only delights the user but also explains every part of the process along the way.

Solution
The 4-week sprint process resulted in a fully iterated end-to-end flow where the user no matter their crypto experience managed to understand absolutely every part of the flow. This required extensive usability testing and adjusting crypto terms so they are more easily digestible. As a result, all users who participated in the prototype tests were not only delighted by the experience but also happy they could easily understand what the dapp is about.
Among many things, our team discovered that:
Traders thought that fees were fairly high on other platforms
Traders rarely used the discovery features on other platforms
Traders felt the need to use limit orders
We solved these by:
Adding a section where we compare Gemfinder fees with fees from other platforms
Designing a filter option for pro and less experienced traders
Designing a limit order feature

Offered the team a better understanding on how users were reacting to a simplified memcoin platform
