Ultim Studio partnered with Atlas, their founding design team, to craft a governance platform for DAOs. During the sprint, we worked closely with the Atlas team, gathering insights and turning them into a fully functional prototype that streamlined DAO creation and management.
Goal
Atlas is a platform where DAOs can effortlessly create, configure, and manage their decentralized organizations. Our aim was to design an intuitive interface that simplifies governance processes, enabling DAO members to eaasily vote, propose, and track their decisions.
Challenge
The main challenge was transforming the the complexity of DAO governance into an easy solution, free of any confusion. We needed to come up with a design that was easily digestible and natural for all DAO members.
Solution
During a 3-week sprint, our team analyzed user needs and prototyped an MVP with customizable governance flows. We iterated based on feedback, adding real-time voting tracking as well as a proposals index screen. The final MVP, delivered to the InstaDapp team simplified launching and managing a DAO into an easy to use solution.
Among many things, our team discovered that:
Current governance options were not very intuitive for less experienced users
The UX for launching a DAO was not very intuitive
Current Governance solutions were not showing the votes on the main proposal cards
We solved these by:
Adding tooltips where necessary so that new users would educate themselves
Creating a simple onboarding that was clear to understand for both new and more experienced DAO members
Adding the voting graph on the main DAO cards
After working together, InstaDapp managed to:
Streamlined DAO setup and governance into a simple to use interface
Delighted users through a strong UI
Created a scalable UI for diverse DAO types
Established a foundation for future governance tool expansions
