Ultim Studio partnered with Rainmaker as their founding design team as a second design sprint in order to design their new website and simplify trading for DeFi users. During the sprint, we worked hand-in-hand with the Rainmaker team, gathering insights and turning them into a fully tested landing page.
Goal
Rainmaker wanted to create a new landing page where users can dive into the details of their new Account Abstraction DeFi trading app. Our aim was to design a site that cuts through the complexity of DeFi, offering a detailed explanation of each feature, no matter the user’s crypto know-how.
Challenge
The main challenge was DeFi’s technical jargon—like gas fees and explaining to users underlying technologies such as Account Abstraction. The main hurdle was speaking to the new DeFi user from a main value perspective while at the same time going deep into technicalities for more experienced users.
Solution
In a 1-week sprint, our team tackled user needs and prototyped a refreshed Rainmaker landing page focused on simplifying DeFi trading. We iterated based on feedback, adding in every main feature and letting users dig deeper with a learn more button. The final MVP, delivered to Rainmaker, increased user flow towards the main app and answered all questions users had.
Among many things, our team discovered that:
Users wanted to feel safe they can use this platform in order to invest more in it
Users were confused on the statement “it takes seconds rather than minutes” to perform a transaction
More experienced users wanted to know if they can use the Rainmaker wallet on other DeFi platforms
We solved these by:
Doxxing the team (was their idea), adding the telegram links and an audit section
Explaining the power of AA through a learn more section
Explaining that Rainmaker can easily connect using walletconnect to any dapp
After working together, Rainmaker managed to:
Increased the flow of users to their mobile app
Reduced the team’s workload for answering user questions on Discord
Increased users’ trust.
Created a scalable site foundation for future features.
