Ultim Studio teamed up with Sublime Finance as their founding design team to create their landing page as a second sprint after we worked closely together to create their DeFi protocol. Like every sprint, we worked closely with the Sublime team, digging into user insights and designing a final experience that explained every feature for both users and developers.
Goal
Sublime Finance is a dapp where anyone can connect their social media accounts, and access a pool of credit based on their follower count. Our mission was to design a site that simplifies this novel concept, giving all necessary information to both users an developers.
Challenge
The main challenge was conveying the value of social status-based credit in a way that feels natural. Users were confused by the idea of linking their social media account and being able to borrow, also lenders were confused by how they can assess risk. We had to create an experience that informative and easy to grasp for all user types.
Solution
In a 1-week sprint, our team tackled user needs and prototyped the new Sublime Finance landing page, focused on social status, lending and borrowing. We iterated based on user feedback, enhancing the interface with informative sections on both the value to the user and the technology behind the dapp.
Among many things, our team discovered that:
Users were unsure how their social status translated to credit limits
Borrowers didn’t understand how to assess the risk of the lender defaulting
Builders had a hard time understanding the use cases of Sublime
We solved these by:
Designing a graphic that would show what their credit score would be composed of
Created a graph that would show exactly the type of data that would help the lender assess the risk
Designing a section where we explained the use cases in which Sublime can be used
After working together, Sublime managed to:
Eliminated the team’s burden of answering user questions using Discord
Increased the flow of users to their dapp
Increased users’ trust in the project
Set the team up for future funding
Created a scalable site foundation for future features.
